All of you people who have said the dancers get paid too much, etc………have OBVIOUSLY never danced. It is a long, physical, strenuous, profession that requires hours and hours or training and teaching…………Much more than you 40 hr a week job……..
Not sure exactly – but they did get paid for being on that show. The dancers also get paid for being on the DWTS tour. I'm sure it's a nice amount.

The Ballroom Dance Company web site reports that the professional dancers earned $5000 per week this season, up from $1000 the previous seasons. In my mind, that's fair and deserved considering that they create the choreography for each of their dances, conduct multiple rehearsals, and have to tailor their schedules to suit the stars they dance with. Consider, too, that few dancers have steady salaries–they only get paid when they are hired for a show.
They make alot of money.Way too much if you ask me.They are paid by dance.So, imagine they did 20 dances 1,000 dollars each in one season?That is how much some people make in a year!They get paid even more then that!
A pro dancer who is a decent teacher should be pretty busy with classes, privates, etc.
He/she has to give that all up to do the show, tailoring their time to just the student celeb they are working with.
they may NEVER get those students back either. But they should get new students from the exposure.
Since the show is making BIG money off their efforts, they should get a good piece of it too.
