Ballroom Dance Gifts – Sweet 16 dance ideas?

I already rented out a ballroom but if you guys have ideas that don't overflow on money that would be awesome.
I have a dj and caterer in mind but still iffy on details. Plus my b-day is in November so I kinda want people to wear something that's a little formal but good for cold weather & dancing!

If Its warm inside, brind in a desk and have a place to put peoples coats! You can have the best of both then :)

"Cocktail" or "smart casual" is great, or if you want to theme to dance try "80's" or disco, the amount of layers you can load up on, and the fluro colours, best for dancing!!

You could have a fluro sweet 16! Everyone can dress semi-formal but in fluro colour like fluro orange etc. Hire fluro lights and it looks SO cool because everyone glows!!!! Im from New Zealand and fluro partys are really in at the moment!!!!

how bout' a movie theme. everyone dresses as there favorite character. you could be cinderella and have your prince at your side. just make sure you shine most.(make sure on the invintations to tell them to bring something comfy for dancing but still goes with the charater)

how about a masquerade? you could do a lot with that, i had that for my sweet sixteen and ppl loved it!

How about The Waltz it's classy and elegant. And it wont freeze people to death. OR you could do the Cha-Cha or Tango but since theese dances are a little bit more showy have people bring a coat and then take it off when they enter the ball room.
HOPE I HELPED YA!

I think a Jive or rock n roll retro theme shld work. These dances are lively and fun. If you want something more formal, try the Quickstep.

If your guests are non-dancers, you may want to consider getting an instructor to give short basic lessons at the party and to lead the dance.

Enjoy!
