Does anyone know about how much money you would make as an instructor at Fred Astaire? Does it depend on whether or not you are willing to travel?
I spent quite a few years at a Fred Astaire studio that trains a lot of beginning instructors. I couldn't very well ask a question like this, but the impression I got was that they had a basic guarantee and lots of incentive bonus payments for "Freddie Points." They'd get a point for each student in a group class, for instance; a pile of points for signing a new student to a contract; points for travel to a competition; and on and on. My impression (again, it would have been more than a little rude to ask) was that they generally could expect to make about $25-30K to start.
it depends where you work. you can get up to $25 or as low as $8 but it ultimately is about where you work and who is your clientele
