Ballroom Dancing Dresses – Does any1 know what the wedding dresses with the back that attaches to ur finger are called?

its like the dress that attaches to your finger and when u lift ur hand up it looks like a wing lol i know that may not be 2 descriptive but i really need to know thanks =)

i'm not sure but i think you might be talking about the loop that is used to hold the train off the ground. when the dress is on a hanger the loop is over the top of the handle to hold the train off the ground. during the wedding you dont keep it on your finger, you let the train down, but then at the reception if you don't feel like paying to get the train bustled you can put the loop on your finger to hold it off the ground… sorry if that's not what you're talking about. but any dress with a train should have that.

Most "trains" have a loop where you can insert your finger or your hand, it also helps keep the dress on the hanger without the train falling all over the place. Like I said "most" dresses have this, if it's something you definitely want make sure to tell the bridal store when looking for dresses, I'm sure if your dress doesn't come with one you can have one put in, it's quite simple. I bustled my dress as soon as I got to the reception so I never used the loop.

Your question is a little vague and hard to understand. But do you mean to hold up your train via a finger or wrist loop like this…

(Sorry to use my own photo but I am the only one I know of who has done this instead of the back bustle!) You just need to hide a small loop made out of ribbon on the back of your train.

If you mean something else like where the design of the dress is so that you have it attached to your fingers then the only place I have seen this is on ballroom dancing dresses such as this…

If that is what you are looking for then you will have to get a dress specifically made as I have never seen a wedding dress that looks like this. Otherwise you may find a white one of these at a dance store?

I believe you are talkingabout the train loop. It's mostly for the form fitting gowns that would be difficult to bustle. I think that most gowns already have these (as they are used to hang the rtain on the hanger). If not, any seamstress will be able to add it.

It's a certain type of bustle< but I'm not sure what the exact name is.. It can be added to most types of gowns. Your seamstress should be able to tell you if it can be added to the type of gown you've picked.

I think it's just called a "train loop". It's really just to keep your train from dragging on the floor.

This is what I think you are referring to: http://www.amasquerade.com/images/produc…

cannot visualize what you're trying to say. are you talking about a train attachment? ask at the bridal shop they should know.

If you're taking about the thing for your train, it's called a "train loop" or a "wrist hook."

Bridal Point Sleeves :)

not a clue – isn't that a type of bustle?
hmm…ask the bridal place…they should know

Stupid. Do you really want to spend your day looking like an idiot? DON'T GET ONE!!!!!!!!

Hello, on the end of that discussion, is the wrist strap/train loop attached to the outside of the gown? It’s a little difficult to tell on some of the photos. I’m making a floor length lined gown that is very fitted with a fishtail hem and duster hem, but as am on crutches currently, would like to be able to lift up the train to help mobility whilst in my current condition! Thanks
