There are plenty of things you expect to find in Benidorm, cheap lager, a great beach and karaoke.  However what you probably don’t expect to come across is ballroom dancing but ballroom dancing in Benidorm does exist.

If there’s one thing you think of when you think of Benidorm it’s the UKs social elite holidaying? No, maybe not? But Ballroom Dancing isn’t very elitest anymore, it’s hugely popular hobby and when anything becomes popular it is sure to find its way to Benidorm. The only real surprise is that there aren’t fake Strictly Come Dancing stars putting on shows!

You’ll find the ballroom dancing at the Hotel Ambassador Playa on Tuesday and Staurday nights starting at 9:30pm. You’ll need to go through the main reception and not the pool area to find the indoor lounge where it takes place. Be warned that it only runs if enough people turn up and there could be issues in August, not so much in the earlier part of the summer season though. It’s mainly sequence ballroom but if you’re on holiday in Benidorm and missing your Ballroom fix it’s great.
