Last night, we saw some super dancing, some lacklustre but lucky ad-libbing, and a couple of car crash moments! But, don’t these four read my posts! Stamping, necks, kicks and flicks – ring any bells??? And as for Matt – well, what can I say? I really felt for him, it is horrible when you go blank - I think it is all too much for him! (Wonder what he is going to be like if the sympathy vote gets him as far as the final?) Best get himself some “Rescue Remedy” sharpish!
This evening watching the results show, I can’t say I was totally surprised at who went out, and I think she expected it was going to be her as well, but it is true to say I didn’t expect to see Alesha in the dance off?! I bet it was a bit of a shock for her as well – goes to show regardless of how good you are and how much the judges rate you, the public can make or break you. But what can the girl do – she hasn’t offended anyone, been showy or full of herself in any way. Us phone voters are a funny breed! It is well known that we vote for those we think of as “friends” or those who we feel sorry for. People doing okay on their own do tend to get ignored.
Flavia looked like she was going to have a heart attack when they were called through “in no particular order”. Still, what this does mean is that we will ge to see Flavia and Matt do an Argentine Tango, and that should be really interesting! Speaking of Argentine Tango, how fabulous was that display by Vincent and Flavia – it’s just as well they are a couple, it was very intense to say the least …………………. I thought the show dancing was fab, both by the German formation team, and our own anton/erin, brendan/nicole.
Did anyone notice there were more than a few bits of dance dress flying off onto the floor tonight?
I hope and pray that they do away with the dance-off in future series. Much as I enjoy seeing the Sunday show with the professional dancers, I feel saddened that people have to dance when they KNOW they are going home. I too, am the age to play the Godmother and not Cinderella – You did us old girls proud Leticia! Good luck.
Best judge – Len. glad to see him back on form. Jet lag cleared perhaps?
